A homemaker, Mrs. Sitnik had been a volunteer for the Diabetes Association of Rhode Island and the American Red Cross.
She was a past president of the Chicataubut Ladies Club, and a member of the Rumford Grange, East Providence.
A member for many years of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mrs. Sitnik was a member and past matron of Martha Washington Chapter 18, in Warren. She was a past royal matron of the Order of Amarath, Harmony Court 1; a past worthy high priestess of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem; and a past mighty chosen one of the Moslem Cauldron. She also was a member of the Mizpah Lodge of Rebekahs, and a past president of the Rebekah Assembly of Rhode Island.
She was a past mother advisor to the Bristol County Assembly of the Order of Rainbow Girls, and in her youth had been a member of Providence Assembly 1 of the Order of Rainbow Girls.
Mrs. Sitnik was a member of the Baptist Church of Warren and a former member of the First Baptist Church in America, in Providence, where she had been a member for more than 70 years.

Was a German, lived as a farmer in Hanover township, Dauphin Co, Pa. Was twice married and was the father of sixteen children.

Received his education in the public schools of his native township, and at the age of nineteen went to Hummelstown, Pa, where he served an apprenticeship in the tinner's trade, spending one year with the firm of Conrad & Space, and two years with John & Adam Nitz. In 1876, he went to Enhaut and entered the service of the Pennsylvania Steel Company, with whom he has since continuously remained. In 1880 he purchased a lot, on which, in 1881, he erected his present dwelling, one of the most commodious and attractive in the place. He is also the owner of six other lots. In political matters he is identified with the Republicans. He is a member of the Church of God, in which he serves as elder. He has been for many years and still is extremely active in the work of the church and zealous in its support. For ten years he held the office of treasurer, and when the new church edifice was erected contributed to the building fund and also served on the building committee.
