"MRS. RACHEL O. ARMSTRONG
SEDAN, Kan. - Rachel 0. Armstrong, 84, of Sedan, Kan., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kan.
She was born Nov. 7, 1920 in Bay, Ark. to Charles and Amy Alta (Jones) Conner. She moved to Sedan with her family when she was young, where she received her elementary education and graduated from Sedan High School in 1938. After high school she attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mrs. Armstrong worked as a librarian for the University of Utah and she also was a Mezzo-Soprano in the Utah Symphony Orchestra.
On Jan. 25, 1953, she married Don Armstrong in Wichita, Kan.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sedan.
She is survived by her husband, Don Armstrong, Sedan, Kan.
Private interment was held on Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 20,2005 at the Three Barns located west of Sedan.

"Juanita Hurt Leebrick, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Lynchburg Health and Rehab. Juanita was born on October 16, 1930, in Lynchburg, and was the daughter of the late Lucian T. Hurt and Blanche Brooks Hurt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Leebrick; and siblings, Lucian Hurt, Johnny Hurt, David Hurt and Joyce Hurt.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Alice Stump (Charles); grandchildren, Charles Stump Jr., Juliet Cawthorne (William), and Jonathan Stump (Hannah); one great-granddaughter, Diana Stump; and a sister, Shirley McCormick.
The family will receive friends at Whitten Timberlake Chapel on Sunday, December 26, 2021, from 3 until 4:30 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, December 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Rick Rasberry officiating."--23 Dec 2021, The (Lynchburg, VA) News & Advance

"Enid L. Hartzell -- FRANKFORT -- Enid L. Hartzell, 68, of 850 E South St., Frankfort, died at 4 p.m. Monday in St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis.
A nurse, she had worked at Frankfort Senior High School until her retirement in June. She formerly was employed at Wesley Manor Retirement Community and Clinton County Hospital.
She was born in Greenville, Ohio, April 11, 1917.
Mrs. Hartzell was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Tri Kappa sorority and Zonta Club, all in Frankfort.

"Miss Schossig, R. Hartzell Wed In South Bend Ceremony -- Baskets of white gladioli decorated the altar of the First Presbyterian church of South Bend when Miss Esther Marion Schossig became the bride of Robert Hartzell Saturday at 4 p.m.
Mrs. Anna Schossig of South Bend is the mother of the bride and Mr. Hartzell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Hartzell of 340 Lincoln street, Richmond.
The double ring ceremony was read by Dr. Charles Tupper Baillie. Music was provided by Mrs. Edna VanSkyhawk, organist, and Forest Scott, baritone.
The bride was attired in a white wine gabardine dressmaker suit, trimmed in gold. Her hat was a small cloche of the same shade with illusion veiling and feather trim. She wore a corsage of bronze colored glamellias.
The bridegroom's brother, Clyde Hartzell, served as best man.
Mrs. Hartzell, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black and beige suit with a red glamellia corsage.
A reception was held in the Blue room of the Hotel Oliver at 4:30 p.m. for 50 guests. Bowls of white button moms and pastel tapers were used in decorating.
Mr. and Mrs. Hartzell are taking a wedding trip through the Smoky Mountain region and upon their return will reside at 1631 Linwood avenue, Niagara Falls, N.Y.
The bride graduated from Central High school of South Bend and has attended Kalamazoo college and the College of Commerce of South Bend.
Mr. Hartzell is a graduate of Richmond Senior High school and received his engineering degree from the General Motors Institute, Flint, Mich. He now is employed by the Carborundum company at Niragra Falls.
