"DEATH OF J.Q. ADAMS FRITCHEY. John Quincy Adams Fritchey, a prominent retired lawyer of St. Louis, who has been sojourning at a Delaware avenue cottage for several weeks, was taken ill a few days ago and died this morning."--3 Sep 1897, The Philadelphia (PA) Inquirer

"DEATH OF JOHN Q.A. FRITCHEY. An Old St. Louis Lawyer Passes Away at Atlantic City. M. D. Lewis, Recorder of Deeds, received a telegram from Atlantic City, N.M. from the wife of John Quincy Adams Fritchey, announcing the death of her husband, which occurred at 1 a.m. Thursday at that place.
Mr. Fritchey was among the oldest members of the St. Louis bar. He graduated from Ann Arbor O(Mich.) Law School in 1856 and began the practice of his profession in this city in the spring of 1857. Having acquired a competency, he retired from business about fifteen years ago.
He leaves no children. The funeral services and burial will take place at Harrisburg, Pa., the place of his birth."--2 Sep 1897, St. Louis (MO) Post-Dispatch.

"Death of John Q.A. Fritchey. John Q.A. Fritchey, of St. Louis, Mo., who graduated from the U. of M. in 1858, died yesterday morning a out 1 o'clock at Atlantic City, N.J. He was born Oct. 1, 1830, and was consequently nearly 67 years old. The funeral will be held at Harrisburg, Pa., Sunday.
John Q.A. Fritchey was well known to many of the residents of Ann Arbor at the time he was in college here. The two men who particularly remember him are Judge E.B. Pond, for whom he often did work, and J.Q.A. Sessions, who was in college with him. He was a printer by trade and Judge Pond says the Mr. Fritchey and he have worked all night on setting type on a president's message. After graduating from the law department, Mr. Fritchey settled in St. Louis, Mo., and became a lawyer, devoting his time to a real estate and general collection business. He has visited Ann Arbor frequently since he left here and has been a subscriber to the Argus ever since his college days. Mr. Fritchey had been in poor health for several years. "Mrs. Isaiah Hartzell. Mrs. Susan Hartzell, widow of Isaiah Hartzell, formerly of Wheatfield township, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.H. Fortenbaugh, in Marysville, Tuesday of last week. She was 79 years of age. Mrs. Hartzell was a daughter of Abraham and Catharine (Fry) Smith. She was the mother of thirteen children, ten of whom survive, namely: Mrs. Martin Beck, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Maurice Wahl, Duncannon; Abraham Hartzell, Summerdale; Newton, Findlay, Ohio; Harry, Camp Hill; Herbert, Bloomfield; Mrs. Thomas Fenicle, Marysville; Mrs William Alexander, Harrisburg; Mrs. C.H. Fortenbaugh and Mrs. Charles Swartz, Marysville. One child died in infancy, a daughter, Mrs. Claud Mark, of Marysville, died six years ago, and a son, Jesse, of near Duncannon, died twelve years ago. One sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Palmer, of Harrisburg, is living.
Mrs. Hartzell was a member of the United Brethren Church. She was a woman of high character and was a good mother and a kind neighbor and friend.
Funeral services were held at the Fortenbaugh home in Marysville on Friday afternoon, Rev. J.E. Strine officiating, and burial was in Snyder's Church cemetery, Wheatfield township."--9 Feb 1927, The Perry County (Bloomfield, PA) Democrat.

"FUNERAL IN MELROSE FOR MRS ADA PEACOCK.-- MELROSE, Nov 19 --The funeral of Mrs. Ada M. Peacock, widow of Rev. Robert M. Peacock, who died Monday at the home of her son, Dr. Harold L. Peacock, 40 Woodland Av, Melrose Highlands, was held this morn in the home at 11 o'clock. Rev. John H. Leamon of the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church officiated. Burial was this afternoon in Nute Ridge Cemetery, Milton, N.H.
Mrs. Peacock was born in Riverside, Me., 1859, and was married to Rev. Mr. Peacock in 1880 Immediately after their marriage they went to Solon, Me., where he assumed pastorate of the Congregational Church. They also lived in Monmouth, Me., Somerset and Pigeon Cove, Mass, Milton,, N.H. and Vassalboro, Me., where Rev. Mr. Peacock held pastorates.
Besides her son, she leaves two other sons, Robert B. of Boston and Rev. Alfred G. Peacock of Lisbon N.H. and a daughter, Mrs. Seth A. Moulton of California."--19 Nov 1930, The Boston (MA) Globe
