He served as Justice of the Peace in 1885 and 1886, lived at 22S Sixth Street, LaFayett according to city directory. Continued serving in that office in 1887-1888 according to the city directory.

Probably is the one referred to in the "directory" of businessmen in Lafayette, published in the Tippecanoe Journal and Free Press in January 8, 1846, as Doct. C. F. Wilstach, office at the Lafayette Drug and Book Store, Main St., opposite the Court House. Also referred to as C. F. Wilstach, druggist and bookseller, Main street, north side of public square.
There is a Charles F. Wilstach listed in the Tippecanoe County, Indiana Will Book #2, April 8, 1845 to December 12, 1864 on "Testator Page Number" 394.
"MARRIED, on Thursday evening, the 3d inst. by the Rev. William Staughton, D.D., Doctor Charles F. Wilstach, of Harper's Ferry, Virginia, to Miss Hannah W. Ustick, daughter of Mr. Stephen C. Ustick, of this city."--14 May 1821, The (Philadelphia PA) National Gazette

May be the C. F. Wilstach who is listed as having served in the War of the Rebellion in the Lafayette (Indiana) Daily Journal in an issue in 1872 and 1873. Served a term as mayor of Cincinnati, beginning in 1867.
Occupation in 1860 Indiana census is druggist.

Served for 17 years as president of the Ohio Mechanic's Institute in Cincinnati. "The Joint Committee of the Ohio Mechanics Institute, Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade on the Cincinnati Industrial Exposition held a meeting today and effected a permanent organization, electing Charles F. Hon. Charles F. Wilstach, since mayor of Cincinnati, lent his energies to its formation, and it (the 47th Infantry Regiment, Hamilton, Ohio) was known from him as the "Wilstach regiment." July 29th, companies A and B were mustered in, and the remainder of the regiment, August 13th. It was a cosmopolitan command, thirteen nationalities being represented in it, though six companies were composed mostly of Americans, and the remaining four of Germans. Frederich Poschner, Jr., an ex-Prussian officer and Hungarian revolutionist, became its colonel. - History of Hamilton County, Ohio, Chapter XI.

Appears in James Hardie's 1793 Philadelphia Directory and Register, with the designation "shop keeper", 85 North Second Street. Appears in Stephen's 1796 Philadelphia Directory as "Willstach, Charles, shopkeeper, 85 North Second Street". Also appears in Robinson's 1805 Philadelphi Directory, still with the same occupation, but the address has changed to 178 North Second Street.
Listed in mother Hannah Leebrick's will dated April 29, 1823, probated September 7, 1824 8.278.
